Kenapa Islam Tidak Memperbolehkan Wanita Menikahi Pria Lebih Dari Satu (Poliandri)? Ini Penjelasannya - Klik Saja

Click ONLY - Question:
If a man is allowed to have more than one wife, then why does Islam forbid a woman to have more than one husband?

Answer:
Many people, including some Muslims, question the logic that allows a Muslim man to have more than one wife while forbidding women to have more than one husband.

I want to clarify that the foundation of society according to the teachings of Islam is a just and equal society. God has created men and women in equality, but with different abilities and responsibilities.

Men and women differ physiologically and psychologically. Roles and responsibilities are different. Men and women are equal in Islam, but there are things that differentiate between the two.

Surah Nisa verses 22 to 24 describe any woman you can not marry. Furthermore, it is mentioned in Surah Nisa 'verse 24: "and (forbidden you also marry) married women."

The following points explain why polyandry (a woman has more than one husband) is prohibited in Islam:

1. If a man has more than one wife, the parent of the child born from the marriage can be easily identified.

Who his father and mother can easily identify. But in the case of a woman marrying more than one husband, only the mother of that child

born of the marriage can be identified, while his father is not.

Islam is very concerned about the identification of both parents, mothers and fathers. Psychologists say that children who do not know who their parents, especially their fathers, experience severe mental trauma and psychiatric disorders.

Often they have an unhappy childhood. Because this is the children of prostitutes do not have a healthy childhood.

If a child born of the marriage is accepted at school, and when the teacher asks his father's name, he should mention two or more names!

I am aware that the latest developments in science have enabled us to identify who the mother and father are with the help of genetic testing. So arguments that apply to the past may not apply today.

2. Naturally, men prefer polygamy compared to women.

3. Biologically, it is easier for a man to do his duties as a husband despite having multiple wives. A woman, in the same position, if she has multiple husbands, it would not be possible to do her duties as a wife.

This is because a woman undergoes some psychological and behavioral changes due to the phases of the menstrual cycle.

4. A woman who has more than one automatic husband has more than one sexual partner at the same time and has a high chance of contracting the venereal disease.

The sexually transmitted diseases can also be transmitted back to other husbands even if they do not have sex outside of marriage.

Conversely, this risk is not present in a man who has more than one wife, in which none of them have sex outside of marriage.

The above reasons are the dangers of polyandry that we can know. There may be many other reasons why God, in his Infinite Wisdom, forbids polyandry.
